Cheddar is Coming to Town

An ode to Yorkshire at Christmas-time and our take on Welsh Rarebit. We love the fact that our county produces so much delicious food, and we attempted to use a selection of some of our favourite Yorkshire brands in this recipe.

Ingredients

Leftover cheddar

Yorkshire Ale (or any other – we’re biased of course!)

Hendersons Relish / Worcestershire Sauce

Longley Farm Double Cream

English Mustard

Bannisters Yorkshire Family Farm 6 Little Jacket Potatoes

Method

Cook the Bannisters Little Baked Jackets (only 3 mins) as per instructions.

Pop on a baking tray. Open up each potato and scoop out some of the potato flesh into a bowl.

Add plenty of grated cheddar cheese, a dollop of cream, a glug of ale, a tsp of mustard and a splash of Worcestershire sauce.

Mix together, then spoon the mixture back into the potato. Pop it all into the oven at around 180°C, for 15 minutes.
