Tractors take over the Wolds!
When you take a drive over the Yorkshire Wolds you expect to see a tractor or two but if you happened to be in the area last Sunday 13th May, you’d have been in for quite a surprise.
Last Sunday saw the Langtoft Tractor Run, with no less than 62 tractors of varying ages and sizes travelling 40 miles over field, dale and B-road taking in the stunning sights of the Wolds and creating quite a spectacle in the process.
A first for our farm this year, the convoy even passed through several miles of our dale (pictured), giving us quite the vantage point for this agricultural extravaganza! It really was quite incredible to see the tractors snaking through the natural landscape and something that transported us back in time!
The annual event, in memory of Charles Dowson, raises money for St Peter’s Church in Langtoft. Last year’s run raised over £1700 for the church’s funds, with this year’s total yet to be announced. Watch this space!
