The Farm Shop & Deli Show 2016
This week we’ve been at the Farm Shop & Deli Show at the Birmingham NEC for the second time and just like last year, we’ve had an absolutely fantastic time.
We’ve been proudly displaying our range of delicious spuds, offering samples of our moreish BITES straight from the oven and giving samples of our frozen range away towards the end of each day in our cool cool bags.
As you can imagine, the aroma of steaming hot cheesy mini loaded potato skins (the most perfect BITES, in our opinion) created a deliciously tempting pull towards our stand – visitors were definitely being led by their noses! We literally couldn’t bake them fast enough – no sooner had we plated them up, than they were gone!
Getting such positive feedback from existing and potential customers about our products has been fabulous and the camaraderie amongst stallholders is something which hugely adds to our enjoyment of the show.
It was great to see such a strong Yorkshire contingent too with Yorkshire Baker, Charlie & Ivy’s, The Chilli Jam Man, Cartwright and Butler and Three Little Pigs, to name but a few, all flying the flag for our great foodie county!
We were glad to have Olives et al and Inka Snacks as our neighbours and enjoyed exchanging our wares with them – a friendly bartering of hot-snacks-for- cold-snacks has been going on throughout the show, and as last year, this starts to happen further afield during the course of the show, both familiar faces from 2015 and new ones too. It’s been a delight to meet so many other foodies.
The vast range of different foods on show has been quite overwhelming this year and is practically an onslaught to the senses – the vibrant colour and different taste sensations has been hugely interesting to experience over the three days (not to mention, extremely tasty too). We already feel this anyway, but the show has once again simply enforced how much we love the buoyant food scene.
