There’s nothing like a whiff of spring in the air to really lift the spirits and over the past week we’ve definitely sensed it at Bannisters’ Farm.

Apart from the odd blip, the weather is beginning to feel warmer and after the quiet winter period on the farm, now that the rain has eased off, we’ll be able to start spreading the fertiliser.

Unmistakeable signs of spring are starting to show, like the first green shoots in our photograph. It won’t be long before the Yorkshire Wolds is a blanket of vivid green.
