Happy Baked Potato Night!
Okay, so we know it’s Bonfire Night really but let’s face it, warm and comforting food is as important on November the fifth as fireworks. And there’s no food more synonymous with Bonfire Night than baked jacket potatoes – preferably served oozing with butter, held in gloved hands, outside in front of a roaring fire.
So if you’re in a rush this Bonfire Night, Bannisters’ Farm Ready Baked Potatoes can be served steaming hot in just minutes from the freezer or if you have more time, why not do it the traditional way – wrap them in foil and leave them to heat through in the burning embers of the fire.
Either way, our baked potatoes will always have that traditionally baked flavour because they’ve been baked in the traditional way, then frozen to retain that just-baked flavour until you need them – and what better time than on a cold November night!
And on such a quintessentially British occasion, your fireworks may not be “Made in Britain” but you can be sure your spuds are! We only ever use British potatoes – in fact some of them (although only a small percentage these days) are grown on our land and the land of neighbouring farmers on the Yorkshire Wolds. We’ve spent years sourcing the best varieties and perfecting the art of the baked potato so that freshly-baked taste is as good as it can be.
If you fancy something a bit different this Bonfire Night, why not try our Baked Potato Skins? They’re ideal for handing round your guests as they wait expectantly for the fireworks and they come with a range of mouth-watering toppings including Cheese and Smokey Bacon, Cheese and Roasted Onion and Cheese and Jalapeno. And our new Littl’uns Small Baked Jacket Potatoes are ideal if you’re entertaining kids too!
So may we wish you a fun-filled Bonfire Night – here’s hoping it goes with a bang!
