Cycle Challenge to take to the Wolds again this July
The Tour de Yorkshire isn’t the only cycling event to be taking place in our neck of the woods this year. Once again, the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge will be happening on 16-17th July and we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be sponsoring the event for the fourth year in a row!
The two-day cycle ride, which covers 144 miles of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds countryside, is in aid of Ryedale Special Families, a local charity which provides support to families of children and young people who have special needs, disabilities or illness.
The event already has 120 signed up to take part, with the organisers hoping to beat last year’s highest ever number of 190.
Having raised over £80,000 since the event launched 5 years ago, the charity aims to significantly add to that total with riders paying £40 to enter, then committing to raising £60 in sponsorship.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to ride 144 miles around the Yorkshire Wolds for charity you can register on the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge website.
There’ll be some delicious Bannisters’ Farm baked spuds to re-energise you at the half-way point too. What more could you ask for!
