Bigger and better than ever!
We’re proud to be sponsoring the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge (YWCC) for the third year in a row and delighted to say that this year’s event is set to be the biggest so far!
The challenge, which takes place this weekend, is a two-day cycle ride taking in 146 miles of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds countryside.
It’s all in aid of a very worthy local charity, Ryedale Special Families, which provides support to families of children and young people who have special needs, disabilities or illness. Support ranges from information and advice to respite care, social groups and family activities.
With just short of 200 riders taking part, this year’s event is the biggest in its 5-year history. And with almost £60,000 being raised since it started, organisers are hoping to significantly add to that figure this year.
As well as sponsoring the event, we’ll be donating some potatoes, as well as butter, beans and cheese, for the hungry cyclists at the end of day one, so they’ll be well fed and raring to go for day two!
Good luck to everyone who’s taking part, the weather is looking perfect for it!
